I just received word that I was accepted as a vendor for this years Oregon Country Fair! For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Fair, it is an annual three-day fair that begins on the Friday of the second weekend in July in Veneta, Oregon, about 15 miles west of Eugene. Last year around 45,000 people attended.
The Fair began as a barter and craft fair in 1969 to raise funds for an alternative school and has been held every year since. It is a prime example of how “alternative” values such as cooperation, artistic creativity, naturalism, environmental awareness, localism, and concern for the welfare of the world can be successfully integrated. It really is an amazing event, if you are in the area you should ABSOLUTELY attend…and look me up!
